ChairwomanKathleen Dumlao Lee has proudly served as Chairwoman of The aKDPhi Foundation for the past seven years, guiding the organization’s growth and impact with vision and dedication. An alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a focus in Psychology.
Professionally, Kat brings more than a decade of experience in human resources. Her background has equipped her with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life, understand their needs, and create meaningful solutions.
Kat approaches leadership with the same philosophy she brings to her career: treating every person like family, building trust, and fostering opportunities for growth. Under her stewardship, the Foundation continues to expand its reach, empowering women and driving change in communities nationwide.

DirectorBrenda Dang brings more than a decade of leadership experience with Greek-lettered organizations and a distinguished career advising multibillion-dollar companies on legal and strategic initiatives. A corporate attorney by profession, she has guided organizations through complex legal operations, technology implementation, and process improvements while ensuring sound governance and compliance.
Her nonprofit leadership includes serving as Chairman of the Board for the alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority where she oversaw executive hiring, expanded access to mental health resources, and developed policies to strengthen member representation. Brenda’s ability to evaluate, assess, and provide informed recommendations reflects her strong strategic planning skills and her commitment to advancing organizational goals with integrity and foresight.
An alumna of the University of Oklahoma and proud member of the Χ Chapter, Brenda brings her passion for community, diversity, and empowerment to The aKDPhi Foundation. As a Director, she is dedicated to supporting the Foundation’s mission of empowering women, breaking barriers, and creating changemakers.

DirectorMelissa Gasmen brings more than a decade of leadership and service to The aKDPhi Foundation, with a deep history of involvement in alpha Kappa Delta Phi. An alumna of the Φ Chapter at The Florida State University, she has served over nine years on the Internal Leadership Board and most recently as a Voting Director on the Sorority’s Board of Directors.
Professionally, Melissa is an accomplished healthcare leader and educator. She teaches pharmacy leadership, mentors future healthcare professionals, and has been recognized for her contributions to advancing core values, community service, and sisterhood. Her expertise spans nonprofit governance, strategic growth, and community outreach, with a particular passion for women’s health. She is committed to expanding health-related initiatives, including organizing a medical mission trip to broaden the Foundation’s impact.
Melissa brings resilience, empathy, and hope to her leadership. She embodies the Foundation’s vision of empowering women, breaking barriers, and creating sustainable change. Her dedication to mentorship, philanthropy, and women’s empowerment strengthens the Foundation’s mission and its ability to transform lives.

Chairman Emeritus & FounderAprileen Coh is the visionary founder of The aKDPhi Foundation, established in 2011 during her tenure as Chairwoman of the alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority Board of Directors. As an alumna of the Δ Chapter at the University of California, Santa Cruz, she recognized the need for a philanthropic arm that could extend the Sorority’s values into broader community impact. Her leadership led to the Foundation’s formal recognition as an independent public charity.
Under her leadership, the Foundation laid the groundwork for transformative initiatives in scholarships, leadership development, and community service. In 2021, her founding vision inspired the Foundation’s expansion to a broader mission of women’s empowerment, supporting programs that strengthen personal growth, professional success, and health and wellness.
Aprileen’s legacy continues to shape the Foundation’s mission of empowering women, breaking barriers, and creating changemakers. Her leadership exemplifies the impact that vision, dedication, and community can achieve together.

Honorary AdvisorSerene Ngin is one of the founding sisters of the alpha Kappa Delta Phi Berkeley Chapter, where the Sorority was established in 1990. As a trailblazer, she helped lay the foundation for what would become the largest and only international Asian-interest sorority, built on the values of sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and service.
Her vision and dedication continue to resonate across generations, inspiring thousands of members worldwide. Serene’s role in shaping the Sorority’s beginnings reflects her commitment to creating spaces for women of Asian descent to thrive, connect, and lead with purpose. Her legacy as a founder endures in the Sorority’s ongoing mission to empower women and uplift communities across campuses and beyond.

DirectorDanelle Go is a dedicated leader whose approach is anchored in love, trust, and collaboration. An alumna of the Δ Chapter at the University of California, Santa Cruz, she brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, and organizational development. Currently a doctoral candidate in Leadership and Innovation, Danelle combines academic insight with practical expertise in strategic planning, governance, and cross-sector collaboration.
Her leadership portfolio includes board development, large-scale fundraising, volunteer pipeline creation, and the design of programs that expand access and opportunity. She has guided training, performance evaluation, and mentoring initiatives that empower individuals to grow and lead with purpose.
Danelle’s commitment to equity, education, and community empowerment aligns closely with the Foundation’s mission. She is passionate about enhancing the Foundation’s visibility, building meaningful partnerships, and creating sustainable systems of care that foster women’s empowerment and community transformation. CEO / Board SecretaryParichard Chan is a strategic leader and changemaker with deep expertise in quality systems, regulatory compliance, and data governance. She currently serves as CEO and Board Secretary of The aKDPhi Foundation, where she guides the organization’s mission to empower women, break barriers, and create changemakers through scholarships, grants, and leadership development programs.
An alumna of the Y Chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Parichard brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, governance, and strategic operations. She has spearheaded initiatives to strengthen philanthropic programming, digital infrastructure, and board governance for the Foundation, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.
Her leadership is defined by innovation, collaboration, and a strong commitment to service. Across both her professional and nonprofit work, she is dedicated to building systems that create equity, foster growth, and deliver measurable change.
