  • The aKDPhi Foundation is the charitable arm of alpha Kappa Delta Phi. Founded in 2011 by the Sorority’s Board of Directors and recognized as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2013, the Foundation operates separately while advancing shared values of education, leadership, philanthropy, and community service.

  • Yes. The aKDPhi Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity. All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Donors will receive a confirmation email or letter that can be used for tax purposes.

  • Your donation will be directed to the campaign you designate:

    • Scholarship Fund: Supports the Foundation’s scholarship programs

    • Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign: Funds the annual BCA Grant Program

    • Mental Health Awareness Founders Program: Supports the MHA Grant Program

    • General Fund: Sustains the Foundation’s operations, outreach, and growth

  • Since its establishment, the aKDPhi Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in grants and scholarships, supporting nonprofit organizations nationwide and empowering women through education, health, and leadership programs. Our investments have reached thousands of individuals and communities, creating opportunities for growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

  • Scholarships are available to eligible applicants as outlined in each program’s guidelines, including members of alpha Kappa Delta Phi and designated programs such as the CAA Scholars Program. Grants are open to accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with the Foundation’s mission and vision.

    • Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA): Launched in 2018, this program awards grants to nonprofit organizations advancing breast cancer awareness, education, and support.

    • Mental Health Awareness (MHA): Established in 2020, this program will begin awarding grants once the fund reaches $10,000, supporting organizations that provide mental health awareness and resources for minority communities.

    For both programs, a dedicated selection committee, made up of key stakeholders including donor representatives, reviews all applications and determines grantees.
