About Us

The aKDPhi Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to empowering women, advancing education, and creating lasting impact in our communities.

Founded in 2011 through the vision and leadership of Aprileen Coh, then Chairman of the alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority Board of Directors, the aKDPhi Foundation was created to expand opportunities for women through education, leadership, and philanthropy. In 2013, the Foundation was formally recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity, affirming its independence and long-term commitment to impact. What began as a commitment to scholarships, leadership development, and philanthropic initiatives has grown into a dynamic force for change. In 2021, the Foundation broadened its mission to embrace a holistic vision of women’s empowerment, uplifting every aspect of a woman’s journey.

Today, the Foundation fuels progress by funding scholarships, awarding community impact grants, cultivating leadership, and advancing programs that strengthen personal growth, professional success, and health and wellness. Guided by Aprileen Coh’s legacy and the dedication of our supporters, we are building a world where women of every background can thrive and lead with confidence.
